Global Security Force Personnel Survey Data

  • Zambia

    We partnered with SACCORD to survey the Zambia Police Service. N =378 male and female police officers across different regions and rank. The survey was conducted in 2019.

  • Ghana

    We partnered with KAIPTC to survey the Ghanian Armed Forces. N=390 male and female soldiers across different regions and rank. The survey was conducted in 2019.

  • Senegal

    We partnered with CHEDS to survey the police and gendarmerie. N=395 male and female officers across region and rank. The survey was conducted in 2019.

  • Bangladesh

    We partnered with dRI and faculty at the Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka to survey over 495 members of the Bangladeshi Armed Forces. The survey was completed in February of 2022.

  • Jordan

    We partnered with the Jordanian National Commission for Women to survey the Jordan Public Security Directorate. N=380 male and female personnel across different regions and rank. The survey was delayed due to Covid-19, but was completed in 2021.

  • Liberia

    We partnered with the University of Liberia’s Kofi Annan Institute for Conflict Transformation to survey personnel from the Liberian Armed Forces. N=600 male and female personnel across different regions and rank. The survey was conducted in 2022.

  • Sierra Leone

    We partnered with members of the University of Sierra Leone and UN Women to survey the Armed Forces of Sierra Leone. N=380 male and female personnel across different regions and rank. The survey was completed in 2021. In 2023, we partnered with the same team to survey the Sierra Leone Police with another N= 380 of male and female police personnel.

  • Uruguay

    We partnered with RESDAL to survey the Uruguayan Armed Forces and the National Police Force of Uruguay. N= 764 male and female personnel in the two organizations. We ensured diversity across rank and region. The survey was conducted in 2019.

  • Norway

    We partnered with PRIO to conduct a survey of the Norwegian Armed Forces. The survey was completed in 2022.

  • Cambodia

    We collaborated with researchers at the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies and UN Women to conduct a survey of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces in 2023. The survey respondents included 438 male and female personnel across regions and ranks, including those deployed at the time. The survey results were finalized in 2023 and the official report is scheduled to be launched in 2024.
